Tuesday morning's opening of the $780 million Durango Casino Resort comes 15 years after the company opened its last development.  Red Rock Resorts President Scott Kreeger said a dry spell like that won't be repeated. The company already has a few locations in mind for expansion. He said Durango's opening is the blueprint for Red Rock's development plans — building resorts in areas around the Las Vegas Valley where the population is growing, the economy is expanding and the company is not represented in the gaming landscape. Red Rock owns six development sites that, combined, cover more than 500 acres in regions stretching to the outer ends of Clark County, giving the company a roadmap for future projects. Palms Casino Resort general manager stepping down - News3LV

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The general manager of the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, who helped guide the resort toward its post-COVID reopening and new era of tribal ownership, is stepping down. A spokesperson for the Palms confirmed that Cynthia Kiser Murphey's last day on the resort's leadership team will be June 30. "We are immensely grateful to CKM for her leadership and the enthusiasm she brought to the re-opening of this iconic property," Latisha Prieto, chairperson of the San Manuel Gaming & Hospitality Authority, said in a statement. "On behalf of the San Manuel Gaming & Hospitality Authority Board, we fully support her decision to start a new chapter, traveling, and spending quality time with her family." A new general manager has not been named. Kiser Murphey was named as Palms general manager in 2021 as San Manuel worked on purchasing the still-dark property from Station Casinos.
